In 2008, Aaron Green formed with a 7-man development team at Qantm College (SAE) to complete an ambitious new independent video game for their final project. The game was designed with 3 major focuses in mind: it was to appeal to game industry professionals who would rate it for an award category at Game-Connect Asia-Pacific, it was to adopt major features from leading innovative triple-A titles, and it had to fit within a tight development scope with a team new to video game development. 6 months and an incredible amount of work later, team Fighter Creative delivered Debug: The Game to the Game-Connect audience and was voted Best Unsigned Independent Game of the Year.
Debug: The Game is a third-person cooperative shooter with destructible environment, explosive action and menacing enemy hordes. It was an intersection of trending gameplay features and modes on the rise in 2008, including Team Fortress 2 shading, physics-based destructible buildings, satisfying quantities of enemy targets and popular gameplay modes. Debug was built on a modified version of the Ogre Engine and levels were designed with a custom editor to achieve the immersion the world and action required.
